"A woman's dress should be like a barbed wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view"~ Sophia Loren

It is Dress Season!

Time to polish off and air out those radiant stems ladies. Dresses--- long, short, strapless, backless flowing,bubbly...Oh how I love thee and please let me count the ways. What I do not love is to see someone incorrectly wearing a dress. Let's not put on grandma's moo moo from the 50's. Dresses are made to be rocked-out or elegant. The only time it is absolutely acceptable to casually throw on a dress is when you are using it as a cover up for the pool or beach loving. Even then dresses can be sexy.

Making a summer dress not look like you threw it on right after you rolled out of bed is quite simple: first add a little bling. Throw on a 'tip me over' necklace or  chunky-chunky bangles. I always recommend hitting up Sleeveless here in Nashville for creative pieces that you can find celebrities wearing.

For those lovely stems, a nice gladiator sandal is gorgeous, and always gentle on your delicate feet. And since summer is here, it is always nice to make an outfit day to night appropriate. To do this trade those gladiators in for a strappy wedge and throw on a 'suck me in' corset belt, and you will be ready to melt the streets with your sexy new look.
